The low angle of the sun this time of year makes for great lighting throughout most of the day. That, along with golden grass, flowing water and a sky 'etched' with clouds, makes for some fantastic views.
An old "wilted" windmill stands alone along the route between Auburn and Nebraska City in southeast Nebraska. I almost didn't stop to shoot the scene, but am glad I did (except for the dozen or so chigger bites I experienced). This is one of several different angles and compositions attempted. Thanks for viewing.
My wife and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by treating ourselves to a trip to the island of Maui. It is a simply beautiful land with amazingly varied climate and geology. Photography opportunities abound. We had a great experience there, one we'll always remember.
